Climate Scientists Urge “Global warming is not a global crisis”

Posted by crthead on June 20, 2008

A group of leading climate scientists from over 40 countries involved with the newly formed International Climate Science Coalition have signed the Manhattan Declaration on Climate Change. This is an attempt by these scientists to bring into focus the unnecessary hysteria regarding severe climate change. From the Declaration:

“Attempts by governments to legislate costly regulations on industry and individual citizens to encourage CO2 reduction will slow development while having no appreciable impact on the future trajectory of global climate change.  Such policies will markedly diminish future prosperity and so reduce the ability of societies to adapt to inevitable climate change, thereby increasing, not decreasing human suffering.”

The key here is the statement regarding human suffering which they are stating will be increased instead of decreased with regulations that are currently proposed.

The report is a good attempt to bring some rationalization to an area that is out of control with far too much media coverage weighing in on the side of “Global Warming”

These are only a few scientists – less than a hundred and fewer still from the world of climate scientists. Consider why do such few people deny global warming?

You could, if you like, also check my blog entry for today.

    This one is for moonkub.

There are over 31000 other scientist who know that global warming’s very roots have been corrupted by government for years now. The IPCC is a corrupt organization simply because they need to find global warming for their very survival.

My blog outlines how the IPCC was formed and its true nature at noconsensus.wordpress.com.

What is worse the proposed solutions will kill our economy sending more people with their hands out to the very government who developed these immoral policies.

I am sick of $4/gallon gas and our economy cannot tolerate it. With china and india building more than 2 coal fired plants per week we cannot stop CO2 emission anyway. The obvious answer is to wait and see who is right not to cut ourselves off at the knees just in case!

Wow, I didn’t know I had it in me today:).

The numbers are growing and the hysteria that is global warming will fade away in the next few years when the truth becomes apparent. There is a growing realization that it is the sun driving our ever changing climate and the evidence is far more compelling than that of AGW by CO2.

    “The numbers are growing”?

What you really mean is that the noise coming from the same old group of oily shills is becoming louder, simply because they decided to get bigger megaphones.

“Information sharing” and “coordinated local activism”, that’s what they call it.

    I call it astroturf.

More noise doesn’t mean more people. It just means the same people are making more noise.
